Galleria D’arte moderna e Contemporanea Lorenzo Viani 

The Municipal Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art of Viareggio (GAMC) is located in the historic Palazzo delle Muse. The collection currently consists of more than 3,000 works by approximately 750 artists who are protagonists of 20th century art. There is also a significant presence of local authors or those who have had various ties to this country and works that take local landscapes as their subject. The GAMC holds the most important public collection of works by Lorenzo Viani, an original exponent of European Expressionism. 

With works by Pomodoro, Cascella, Dorazio Dova, Matta, Pozzati, Tadini Ceccobelli, Mitoraj, Tilson, Chin Pomodoro, Nespolo, Possenti Alinari, Shafik, Fioroni, Valentini Pardi, Maraniello, d’Andrea di Bello, Gusmaroli, Kauffman as well.
